Border Violence Escalating. Time for Immigration Reform?

I haven't even have this blog up for 24 hours and I already have another topic to talk about. Another aspect of problems here in America. The Mexico-US border is getting more and more dangerous each day. The latest article on the front page of the foxnews.com website is proof of that fact.

There has been drug wars occurring on the Mexico side of the border, and now it is spilling over into here in America.

"Advocates for stronger border security on Wednesday called for stepping up the U.S. offensive to stop murderous drug cartels terrorizing Mexico after an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agent was killed a day earlier."

We need to start looking out our own borders. Illegal immigration is one of the largest problems we have in the US. Not only is the violence spilling over, but the fact that illegals are affecting our economy as well. They are using our programs and our tax dollars. Those resources should be used for those who really need it, the ones that belong in America.

$600 Million dollars that $600 million dollars could be used to help families in LA county that should be getting it. Here is a bigger number for you:
The organization reported that the cost of illegal immigration stands at about $113 billion a year. Nearly half of that amount went toward education costs, according to the study. Costs were naturally higher in states with large illegal immigrant populations -- in California, the total annual cost was pegged at $21.8 billion.

$113 BILLION not million BILLION dollars and HALF yes thats right HALF of the $113 Billion, so about $56.5 Billion dollars went towards education costs. But yet colleges in California has raised their tuition costs upwards towards 40%. So say you paid $20,000 a year for tuition in California, some colleges have raised that cost up to, $28,000 a year. Where is college students suppose to get that extra $8,000? Grants? Funding? Scholarships? They can't because its being sapped by illegals.

Right now, Arizona and the Obama administration is in the middle of a heated debate. Now I'll be honest I haven't read all the details about the immigration law for Arizona, but from what I have read, I fully support it. Its nothing new, it is actually just a law saying that Arizona must enforce the national law, thats rights, the NATIONAL LAW. So why is the Obama administration suing the state of Arizona? Who knows? Maybe instead of assuming that worst of outcomes, that you should take a better look and see how illegal immigration is affecting the country. Instead of suing them, maybe they should model after them.

This is one of the issues that is not being looked at close enough, we need to be focusing on what is really the problem, but the government chooses not too.  They choose to do more harm for our country than good.
